Terms of Service

Last updated: June 20, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CookJar ("CookJar", "we", "us", "our"), including our website at cookjar.app and any related apps and services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

CookJar helps you save, generate, and organize recipes — including by extracting recipe details from cooking videos and links you provide. Recipe content may be produced automatically and can contain errors or omissions. CookJar does not provide medical, nutritional, or allergen advice. Always verify ingredients and preparation steps yourself, especially where allergies, dietary restrictions, or food safety are involved.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to subscribe. You are responsible for the information you provide, for activity under your account, and for keeping your login credentials secure.

3. Subscriptions, billing & renewal

4. Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the current paid period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, accessing it through unauthorized means, or using it for unlawful purposes. When importing content from third-party platforms, you are responsible for complying with those platforms' terms.

6. Content & intellectual property

We own the Service and its brand, software, and design. You retain rights to the content you add, and you grant us the limited license needed to operate and improve the Service. Recipes and videos created by others remain the property of their respective owners; CookJar claims no ownership over third-party content you import.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that recipe extraction will be accurate, complete, or uninterrupted.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CookJar will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on recipe or nutritional information. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the CookJar operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
